Zimbabwe's top musician Jah Prayzah who has been long accused of being in Zanu PFs pockets has finally spoken out against the looting and corruption in Zimbabwe. With millions of Zimbabweans fighting for the release of journalist Hopewell Chin'ono Jah Prayzah posted the following on his Twitter account.
"Today I have decided to break my silence. As a public figure and leading artists i cannot ignore the current mess our beautiful nation is in. I urge our gvt leaders to respect human rights and deal with corruption decisively. No to violence #FreeHopewell"
Besides challenging just the political leaders Jah also asked religious leader to stand up and voice the plea of the nation and millions of people are suffering from ZANU PF corruption and looting. Jah Prayzah said.
"I also urge religious leaders to speak out. In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends #FreeHopewell"
Jah Prayzah has stayed away from commenting of political issues but is know for making song with political references . With songs like Kutongwa Kwaro which was a song Kent to support Mnangagwa when he forced former President Mugabe out of power. Let's see if Jah Prayzah talking will have more musicians speak out against the corruption and looting in Zanu PF.
