Shocking reports suggest that Zimbabwean Football superstar Marvellous Nakamba might be on his way out the Aston Villa door after he spent 1 year at the EPL team, The Boot Room reports.
Fotomac, a Turkish news outlet claims there is interest from Turkey’s Trabzonspor who reportedly want to sign Nakamba on loan this summer should Aston Villa offload him ahead of the next season.
Nakamba who was bought for €12 million from Club Brugge in July last year had indicated that he is happy at Aston Villa and he had no plans of leaving. However recent reports indicated that Trabzonspor might actually offer him a route away from Villa Park on a temporary basis.
Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have set their sights on Aston Villa’s Zimbabwean midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba.
The Villa man could make the switch to the six times Turkish league winners on loan this summer from the Premier League.
Nakamba made 23 league appearances for Villa in the 2019-2020 season as they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth.
Trabzonspor who finished second last season in the Turkish Super Lig have identified 26-year-old Nakamba as a possible midfield reinforcement in view of next season’s European football competitions.
They are also keeping tabs on Villa’s Egyptian winger Mahmoud Trezeguet.
Marvelous Nakamba joint Villa last Summer on the back of their Premier League promotion campaign from Belgian outfit Club Brugge for £11million.
Trabzonspor might be unwilling to pay such an amount for the midfielder, which makes the possibility of a loan move more likely.
Villa’s wealthy owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are looking to strengthen their team next season to avoid another relegation struggle. This might further reduce Nakamba’s game time and encourage him to favour a move away from Villa Park.
