Former ZBC TV presenter, actor and zimdancehall singer and now a Prophet Oscar Pambuka has sent a heartfelt mesage of condolances to the Mugabe Family. Prophet Oscar Pambuka had the great opportunity to interview and chat with the late president many times during his stint at the state owner television station. Prophet Oscar sent the message below:
Well this is my condolence message to the Mugabe family following the death of Mudhara, who will forever be remembered under the sun.
I will never forget your unwavering support for African emancipation and youth empowerment.
I remember you saying one day to me that, " Oscar Pambuka your tiny body does not match your vociferous character on the airwaves."
That statement was the genesis of my illustrious career in the broadcasting fraternity and I will always salute you together with otheir cadres who helped in the liberation of Zimbabwe.
I use to speak soon after you spoke at gatherings like defence forces day or burial of a hero on TV and trust me, it made me realise that indeed I am a national asset.
You also instilled a fearless character in me which I will forever treasure even though I was born after independence.
I hate any form of oppression and imperialism and all this is because of you.
I have also been wrongly perceived and misinterpreted because of my media work, but the truth is I am a true defender of the revolution without any apologies.
On Melting pot, a ZTV program, you allowed me to enjoy my broadcasting art as I asked straight forward questions without any fear for it was and is just but a line of my work. This I say for no one deterred me at all as wrongly perceived by others.
I can write an entire book about you Gushungo, but for now may your soul rest in eternal peace.
I am fully confident that His Excellency Cde Mnangagwa will continue safeguarding those principles of unity and development and that Zimbabweans from all walks of life including the opposition, church, civic society and all will build Zimbabwe together as one team, for we are one people.
Let us use this opportunity to collectively discuss and build Zimbabwe and avoid division as it will take us to the grave.
Its easy as ABC.... Let us unite and see what God has in store for us.
Ma one atanga......
