Misred In Hot Soup For Her Statement

Radio personality Samantha Musa, popularly known as MisRed, has come undefire after telling a radio presenter during an interview that the human rights abuses in Zimbabwe are exaggerated.    In an audio of Musa has since circulated on social media, Musa is heard saying the allegations of human rights abuse in Zimbabwe are circulated on social media by young people who are based in the diaspora. Misred's statements come a few hours after a Bulawayo woman Noxolo Maphosa was abducted and sexually assaulted by suspected state agents.

Hopewell Chin’ono Told You Cannot Wear Gear To Prevent Coronavirus At Chikurubi

Beatrice Mtetwa, the lawyer of detained prominent Zimbabwean journalist and filmmaker, Hopewell Chin’ono has told members of the media that her client was stopped from wearing his goggles amid concerns they could be for surveillance purposes. Chin’ono was using the goggles as personal protective equipment to prevent contracting the coronavirus. The award-winning journalist was arrested on the 20th of July for inciting violence after he had persuaded the citizenry to participate in anti-corruption protests that were pencilled for the 31st. Zimbabwean prisons are reportedly in bad shape and are also overcrowded making them very risky especially when the country is grappling with a pandemic. Hopewell Chin’ono New Bail Application Argues High Risk Contracting COVID-19 In Deplorable Prison

Incarcerated Zimbabwean Journalists-cum activist, Hopewell Chin’ono has approached the Harare Magistrate Courts with a fresh bail application based on ‘changed circumstances.’ Chin’ono who was denied bail at both the Harare Magistrates and High Courts is through his legal counsel seeking to overturn the earlier judgments arguing that he is at high risk of contracting Covid-19 at the prison where safety regulations are being flaunted. “We sought to lead with evidence from him (Hopewell) with regards to the dire conditions in prison, where there is every infraction of COVID19 regulations. Zvatosvorana Ginimbi Sues Grace Mugabes Son

BUSINESSMAN Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure has demanded that former First Lady Grace Mugabe’s son Russell Goreraza and her brother Samson Marufu pay him his full balance after a botched sale of his Mercedes Benz ML63 to the two. In a High Court case, Goreraza borrowed the car from Kadungure last year and got involved in an accident. He then reportedly sold the damaged vehicle to Marufu without the knowledge of Kadungure.
