50 Cars Destroyed In A Fire At Popular Mutare Dealership

A massive fire swept through a garage in Mutare’s Riverside area this afternoon, destroying more than 50 vehicles and reducing them to shells.

The blaze, which reportedly started as a waste management fire, quickly spread to the garage despite efforts by the City of Mutare Fire Brigade to contain it.

 

According to Star FM, the blaze quickly engulfed the garage, leaving more than 50 vehicles reduced to mere shells.

The fire, which broke out near Dairibord and the Colcom shop, caused significant damage before it could be contained.

Fire Brigade Responds

The City of Mutare Fire Brigade rushed to the scene in an effort to control the inferno. While their swift action prevented further destruction, many vehicles had already been consumed by the flames.

Cause of Fire Under Investigation

Authorities have since launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Early indications suggest it began as a routine waste management burn before spreading uncontrollably into the garage.

Public Outrage Over Fire Response and Waste-Burning Practices
