Shockwaves are rippling through the Apostolic Faith Mission Zimbabwe (AFM) community after allegations emerged that a pastor’s girlfriend accidentally—or deliberately—shared highly intimate videos of the two of them in a church WhatsApp group. The clips, which insiders say showed the pair engaging in private, adult conduct commonly referred to online as “vachidya bota,” spread like wildfire before administrators could delete them. Within minutes, screenshots and screen recordings had escaped the group, igniting furious debate across congregations and social media.

Church members say the incident has triggered anger, embarrassment, and calls for accountability, with some demanding immediate disciplinary action while others urge calm and due process. AFM leadership has reportedly been alerted and is said to be investigating how the content landed in a church forum meant for announcements and prayer requests. As the story trends nationwide, it has reopened sensitive conversations about boundaries, digital responsibility, and moral leadership in the age of WhatsApp—leaving the church grappling with a crisis few saw coming.
