Simangaliso Dube (29) was arrested on 30 May in connection with the shocking murder of little Shylet Sibanda, which took place two days earlier at Seafield Estate Village.

At first, the tragedy was brushed off as a sudden death, but the truth came crashing in when a postmortem revealed the chilling cause: mechanical asphyxia and strangulation.In a statement on X, police said Dube confessed that she took the toddler’s life out of frustration over the father’s lack of financial support.

“She claimed she couldn’t take it anymore and snapped,” said a police source.
