📹: Charles MuchakagaraSeveral people are feared dead following a tragic accident Tuesday morning along Seke Road. A 30-tonne haulage truck reportedly lost its propeller shaft, veered off the road, encroached into the oncoming lane, and collided with a commuter omnibus carrying passengers.

 

 

 

Why is it that when a haulage truck malfunctions there will always be a loaded commuter omnibus nearby to collide with and kill innocent occupants. And why should propeller shaft failure cause a crash. The law requires that the shaft should be secured with a chain so that if one of the universal joints fails , it would not drop to the ground but remain raised for enhanced safety. brakes and in good speed does not over turn because of propshaft failure. I am a mechanic and driver trainer as well as road safety enthusiast so my comment is well informed. I am not happy at all. Motorists should always ensure that their vehicles are in proper order. Life has no second chance please.
