A Mozambican woman employed as a domestic worker by a wealthy family in Richards Bay has allegedly disappeared with valuables worth an estimated R100,000.
The incident occurred while the homeowner was away at work. Among the stolen items are multiple cellphones, a laptop, designer handbags, and expensive sneakers (takkies).
CCTV footage from the property shows the woman leaving the residence carrying two suitcases filled with the stolen items.
The suspect has not been seen since the incident, and police have launched a manhunt.
Authorities are working closely with immigration officials amid suspicions she may attempt to cross the border.
