Glen View Teacher Nabbed for Allegedly Molesting Students
A Glen View High 1 School history teacher has been arrested for allegedly indecently assaulting several female students under the guise of cleaning his office.
Fisha Mutawarira, widely known for producing top academic results, is accused of luring pupils to his office, where he allegedly took advantage of them.
Instead of supervising cleaning duties, he is said to have turned the space into a trap for abuse.
Sources told H-Metro that several students had previously raised alarm over Mutawarira’s conduct, but school authorities allegedly ignored the complaints, choosing to protect the teacher due to his strong academic track record.
“Authorities have been turning a deaf ear since he is one of the best teachers in terms of positive results.
"That success gave him wings to abuse a number of students, bragging that he was untouchable. This time he did it to a student who understands her rights, leading to his arrest,” a source revealed.
Mutawarira was arrested and detained at Glen View Police Station under RRB 6465780.
He is expected to appear in court today.
Police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza could not be reached for comment at the time of publishing.
