Government Tanzwa Zvichemo Zvenyu Hatichakwidza School Fees

GOVERNMENT has announced that there will be no tuition fee increases in public schools for the first term of 2020 which opens next week.

The announcement comes amid reports that some schools countrywide had unilaterally hiked fees.

Speaking at a press conference this Wednesday in Harare, Acting Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Amon Murwira said tuition fees for public schools remain unchanged.

“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education would like to confirm that there will be no tuition fee increase in public schools.

“Provincial Education Directors, District Schools Inspectors, and Heads of public schools should stand guided by the circular to the same effect which has been dispatched,” he said.

The Acting Minister of Primary and Secondary Education warned that anyone found to be transgressing will face disciplinary action.

“Government has also learnt that some private schools are charging directly or indirectly in forex. Responsible authorities of such schools are warned that they risk deregistration of such schools,” he said.

In hiking fees, schools had bemoaned the fact that prices had soared over the period between the opening and closing of third term last year, rendering last year’s fees worthless.

This makes topics like accident claims, injury compensation, and legal representation highly relevant for people seeking immediate help.

Taking the right steps after an accident can significantly impact the outcome of a case. Gathering evidence, seeking medical attention, and speaking with an experienced personal injury attorney are all critical actions.
