Gweru has been shaken to its deepest core after a terrifying broad-daylight kidnapping in which a 2-month-old baby girl was violently snatched from her mother’s arms by a woman dressed in a blue and black dress. Witnesses say the incident happened so fast that the mother barely had time to scream before the woman disappeared into the crowd with the infant.
According to reports, the mother was walking home when the suspect, described as a woman in her late 20s to early 30s, approached her pretending to ask for directions. Within seconds, the woman grabbed the baby with force, pushing the mother aside and sprinting away while the shocked mother fell to the ground crying for help. The attacker vanished before anyone could react, creating a scene of chaos and panic.
