Former Zambian President Edgar Lungu has passed away at the age of 68, his political party, the Patriotic Front, confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to the party, Lungu had been receiving specialized medical treatment in South Africa for an undisclosed illness at the time of his death.
