In a disturbing development following a child abduction case in Bulawayo, police have arrested 36-year-old Godwell Mumba for the alleged repi of a 14-year-old girl.
The incident was uncovered after the teenage girl herself was apprehended on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping a two-year-old toddler at Meikles Mall. Investigations into the abduction led authorities to Mumba.
Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, confirmed the arrest, stating that Mumba is facing charges of having sexual intercourse with a young person.
The charge falls under Section 70 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
