President Mnangagwa & VP Chiwenga Order ZACC To Investigate Wicknell For Corruption

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) hereby informs the public that investigations into matters involving Mr. Wicknell Chivayo have been formally reopened. Progress in this case had been delayed due to the complex process of securing critical evidence as well as external interferences that hindered the timely interviewing of the suspect.

In line with His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa’s reaffirmation that there are no “sacred cows” in the fight against corruption, and consistent with the public commitment by Vice President C.G.D.N. Chiwenga that accountability is imminent, ZACC is ensuring that previously stalled cases, including those involving individuals with political connections, are being actively revived and pursued.

The Commission reiterates its constitutional mandate to act without fear, favour, or prejudice in investigating and bringing to justice those implicated in corrupt practices. Further updates will be provided to the nation as due process continues.
