The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has expressed “deep regret” over the shocking incident involving Warriors striker Tinotenda Kadewere, who insulted sports journalist Yvonne Mangunda during the national team’s media open training session at Orlando Stadium on Monday.
The incident, witnessed by players and reporters, has cast a shadow over the Warriors’ camp ahead of upcoming fixtures.
“ZIFA strongly condemns any form of abuse towards the media. Journalists are a vital part of the game, and we are committed to ensuring they carry out their duties without fear or intimidation,” the association said in a statement.
