In a message shared on Facebook, businessman Wicknell Chivayo celebrated gospel music couple Mambo Dhuterere and Mai Dhuterere for their strong impact on gospel music in Zimbabwe, especially through songs from the apostolic tradition. He praised how their music has brought hope and unity to many people, from church gatherings to national events and ZANU PF rallies.
To show his appreciation, Chivayo gifted the couple two brand new white Toyota Fortuners and a total of USD $150,000—giving $50,000 to Mambo and $100,000 to Mai Dhuterere, recognising her as a supportive wife and mother.
Chivayo also responded to rumours about challenges in their marriage, encouraging the couple to reconcile and rebuild their relationship. Speaking from his own experience of a failed marriage, he advised them to forgive each other, stay united, and continue being a source of inspiration to others.
