SAD💔 | Zimbabwean demining expert loses life in Argentina
A tragic accident in Argentina has claimed the life of Zimbabwean explosives and demining specialist, Henry Martin Douglas Macharaga. He was 52.
Macharaga was carrying out extraction work on 19 August when an explosive device went off in his hands along National Route 34, one of Argentina’s longest highways that connects several provinces and stretches to the Bolivian border.
His family is now working on plans to have his body repatriated to Zimbabwe for burial. He leaves behind his wife and two children.
Macharaga was originally from Chirumanzu in the Midlands Province, but he grew up in Kwekwe where his father was a well-known headmaster.Galant soldier going out doing what he loved , saving lives . I salute you from Zambia.
This is the kind of funeral of a stranger I would attend just to show respect .
