ZRP has arrested 11 people suspected of being part of a drug trafficking group. The suspects include both men and women who were allegedly transporting about 200 kilograms of dagga and other illegal substances.
Police stopped the group while they were travelling from Beitbridge. The drugs had been carefully packed to look like blankets so they could avoid being detected. During the operation, police also found and seized unregistered medicines that were in the suspects’ possession.
The ZRP said it will continue its strong fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse. Police warned that anyone involved in producing, transporting, or selling illegal drugs will be arrested and taken to court.
