Akapondwa For His Daughter’s Lobola Money

Police have launched a manhunt for about seven armed robbers, who allegedly killed a 60-year-old man at his home in Rusape and stole US$7 and an undisclosed amount in local currency. Reports indicated that the gang members, who were armed with knives, machetes and wooden sticks, pounced on Boas Mamutse and his family on Sunday at around 7pm. They allegedly demanded money from the family and were told there was none. They quarrelled with Mamutse, saying they knew that his daughter got married recently and told him to surrender the money he received as bride price. The gang reportedly told Mamutse that they knew he was the custodian of contributions for a burial society as the treasurer and started assaulting him with sticks before they took an axe and struck him on the nose. Hopewell Chin’ono The evening when I walked into Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison

The evening when I walked into Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison as part of my punishment by Mnangagwa’s regime for exposing the looting of Covid-19 public funds, I was met by a nurse who was honest and straight with me, “....we don’t even have paracetamol tablets in this prison,” she said to both Jacob Ngarivhume and myself after I had asked about the drug situation at the prison. I knew then that I was entering into a horror prison not able of taking care of our health needs or any unforeseen medical eventualities. The very least that the prison could have done was to have basic medicines, but not at Chikurubi. These are the reality nightmares that not only Zimbabweans at home encounter in Zimbabwe’s public hospitals, but even prisoners in Zimbabwe&

The charismatic youthful leader, who has not made a public address since the passing on of his mother a couple of months ago, takes to the podium today to articulate the way forward for the opposition movement that, apart from being rocked by internal fights, is also under siege from Mnangagwa administration. The address also comes at a time when the country is facing its worst economic downturn in a decade with majority citizens yearning for better days. Chamisa's spokesperson Nkululeko Sibanda yesterday sa

Bad News For Job Sikhala Ordered To Stay Off Whatsapp & Social Media

High Court judge, Justice Erica Ndewere has granted Zengeza West MP, Job Sikhala ZWL$ 50 000 bail. The opposition, MDC Alliance’s deputy chairperson’s was initially granted ZWL$ 25 000 bail, but it was raised to ZW$50 000 after court heard he has no title deeds to any of his properties.
