Pregnant Woman Dies Of Negligence At Parirenyatwa

Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals has launched an investigation into the death of a pregnant woman, Sharon Munyonho who died at the hospital’s Mbuya Nehanda maternity wing on Sunday due to alleged negligence by nurses manning the ward. The late Munyonho is said to have started complaining of labour pains Saturday evening after having been induced to go into labour in the afternoon. It is alleged that Munyonho started having contractions that afternoon but was only taken to the labour ward around 2am, from which she did not receive any service until 6am. She was found dead Sunday morning with her dead child between her legs. More to follow…

Zimbabwe Top Law Man Summoned Before Harare Magistrates Court

Prosecutor-General Kumbirai Hodzi was yesterday summoned to appear before a Harare magistrate to explain his decision to stop the trial of a Harare man who allegedly used high-profile people’s names to swindle unsuspecting clients of various amounts of money. Leon Gomani (29) is facing more than 20 counts of fraud and the matter is already on defence after magistrate Morgan Nemadire dismissed his application for discharge. But in a surprise turn of events, the State, represented by Sheila Mupindu, asked for the matter to be stopped for three weeks, saying she had allegedly received a communiqué from Hodzi. Former Defence Minister Sydney Sekeramayi Owes $311k Electricity Debt

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has petitioned the High Court seeking to register a deed of settlement signed by former Defence minister Sydney Sekeramayi, who is said to have failed to settle a $311 000 electricity debt. The power utility recently filed a court application seeking an order to have the deed of settlement registered to recover its money.According to the court papers, Sekeramayi owns Ulva Farm, which accumulated the debt that he has allegedly failed to settle.  A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a woman in a village.Wilfred Jacob, 42, of the Street, Great Saling, is alleged to have killed 41-year-old Linda Vilika at the same address on Monday, August 19.The charge comes after the body of 41-year-old Linda Vilika was found at a property in Great Saling on Monday.A post-mortem examination took place on Wednesday. Ginimbi To Apply For Refusal Of Remand

Genius Kadungure’s lawyer Mr Jonathan Samukange yesterday gave notice in court that he will apply for the removal of his client from remand if the prosecution fails to furnish them with State papers and a trial date on their next appearance. This was after the State led by Mr Sebastian Mutizirwa had applied for a postponement of the matter to September 4. ZACC Claims They Have Recovered A Meagre $10m From Corrupt Looters

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has recovered over $10 million since it assumed office and has vowed to continue pouncing on Government officials who abuse their positions for self-enrichment or interfere with judicial processes.   Police Launch Manhunt For Madzibaba Playing House With 15 Year Old Following Social Media Outrage The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a manhunt for a Madzibaba affiliated with the Johanne Marange Apostolic Sect who married a 15-year-old girl. Breaking:Walter Magaya Fakes Abduction To Escape Police Arrest

Prophetic and Healing ministries (PHD) leader Walter Magaya escaped abduction when seven machete-wielding men attacked his grandmother in search of him. Matemadanda Blames Zanu PF ‘For Gonyeti Abduction

The Deputy Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs, Victor Matemadanda has said the abduction of the comedienne Samantha Kureya, (popularly known as Gonyeti) is an attempt to tarnish the government’s image by detractors.
