THE trial of business partners Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe who are facing charges of fraud involving US$7 million in a botched Presidential Goat Pass-On Scheme has hit another brick wall after its postponement this Monday. The trial, which was set to resume this Monday, hit a snag due to the absence of Mpofu’s legal counsel of choice, Advocate Tapson Dzvetero, who is attending his brother-in-law’s funeral. The matter was thus postponed to the 20th of this month and will run for five days. The State is expected to lead three witnesses on the 20th. The trial, which was supposed to start last year in October, was delayed after an application by the duo for referral of the matter to the Constitutional Court.
