Under Section 20 of Zimbabwe’s Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, treason is punishable by life imprisonment or death, underscoring the seriousness of Ziyambi’s accusation.
The minister also defended Mnangagwa’s controversial ‘Vision 2030 Agenda’ — widely viewed by critics as an attempt to entrench the President’s rule — insisting it was lawful, constitutional, and supported by the will of the people.
