JUST IN | Suspect arrested in Botswana over Bulawayo $4 million Ecobank cash heist
A 39-year-old man, Bhekani Milio, was arrested in Botswana on 14 July 2025 while trying to enter the country from South Africa. He is believed to be connected to the armed robbery at Ecobank in Bulawayo, where USD 4 million was stolen on 3 October 2024.
His arrest comes after two other suspects, Abraham Temayi Vumbunu and Elijah Temayi Vumbunu, were caught earlier in South Africa. Zimbabwean police are now working on bringing Milio back to Zimbabwe to face charges.
ZRP say they are still looking for more suspects linked to the robbery. More information will be shared as the case continues.
