King 98: New kid on the block
At the age of 20, upcoming hip-hop musician King 98 has already shared the stage with South Africa’s best Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C. His debut in the mainstream music industry was in style, launching his single titled Defeat on the regional urban music channel MTV Base last month.

He is not done yet. The Watershed College student flew to Canada where he was scheduled to share the stage with Zimdancehall sensation Winky D and DJ Silence Dosh at the Impala Car Rental Africa-Canada Summer Festival in Toronto yesterday.“I could not have done all this had it not been for the support of my father Thompson Dondo,” King 98 told The Standard Style last week. “My father did not know that I could sing, but he got to know about it when Cassper Nyovest came to Zimbabwe last year. Cassper told my dad that I was a good rapper and that’s where it all started.”

Born Ngonidzashe Dondo, King 98 believes the future of hip-hop in Zimbabwe is bright.
“Hip-hop music is growing and a lot of youngsters like my colleague Union Five are taking the industry by storm. I believe with enough room for exposure, the genre can grow here in Zimbabwe,” he said.

The young rapper, who is under the tutelage of Zimbabwe-born and Cassper Nyovest producer Allie Keys, said he felt he gave a vintage act when he warmed the stage for Nasty C last week, considering it was his maiden performance on the big stage.

King 98 performed four tracks Man Dem, Duce, Defeat and Flex sending the packed Wingate Golf Club into a frenzy. “I can’t rate myself, but from the feedback that I got from my friends, on social media and family I gave a good show. Even some people who did not know me before reached out complimenting me on the performance,” he said.

“My fan base has grown, thanks to the Nasty C show. In South Africa where I launched my single Defeat last month, I have already connected with a lot of people and I hope to cast my links with fans from all over the world. “Those dancers I performed with last week are from South Africa and I am working under my big brother Allie Keys.” With 13 unrecorded singles under his belt, the young hip-hop star said he was in the studio working on a single, which he expects to release before end of the year.

He said he was also working on a project with award-winning Nigerian singer Davido.
“I have a single titled Duce that should be out by year-end and I am doing a collaboration with Davido on a single titled Bad Vibes that should be out early next year,” he said.

The Watershed College student said he was contemplating on hosting a hip-hop concert every year to create space for upcoming rappers.
“I am privileged because I was given the chance and space by my parents. I feel I am obliged to also create space for other colleagues who have talent,” he said.
“The hip-hop concert that I intend to host will be such a platform to nurture and expose talent.”

Best VPN Services in 2026: Protect Your Privacy and Secure Your Online Activity

Introduction: Why Online Privacy Matters More Than Ever

In today’s digital world, protecting your personal information is no longer optional. With increasing concerns around data tracking, cybercrime, and surveillance, many users are searching for the best VPN services to secure their online activity. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) encrypts your internet connection, ensuring that your data remains private and protected from hackers, advertisers, and even your internet service provider.

Searches like “best VPN for privacy” and “secure VPN services for streaming” are extremely high CPC because users are ready to subscribe. Whether you’re browsing at home, working remotely, or using public Wi-Fi, a reliable VPN provides an essential layer of security that every internet user should consider.

What Is a VPN and How Does It Work?

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) creates a secure, encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. Instead of connecting directly to websites, your data passes through a VPN server, masking your IP address and location.

This process not only enhances privacy but also allows users to access restricted content and bypass geo-blocks. Businesses and individuals alike use VPNs to protect sensitive information and maintain anonymity online.

Key Benefits of Using a VPN

There are several important advantages to using a VPN:

  • Enhanced Security: Protects data from hackers and cyber threats
  • Privacy Protection: Hides your browsing activity and IP address
  • Access to Global Content: Unlocks geo-restricted websites and streaming services
  • Safe Public Wi-Fi Use: Prevents data theft on unsecured networks

These benefits make VPNs essential for both personal and professional use.

How to Choose the Best VPN Service

When selecting a VPN, consider the following factors:

  • Strong encryption standards (AES-256)
  • No-logs policy
  • Fast connection speeds
  • Global server network
  • Compatibility with multiple devices

Keywords like “best VPN for streaming” and “fast VPN services” are highly competitive because users are actively looking to subscribe.

Free vs Paid VPN Services

While free VPNs may seem appealing, they often come with limitations such as slower speeds, limited servers, and potential data tracking. Paid VPN services offer better security, faster performance, and reliable customer support.

For long-term use, investing in a premium VPN is usually the better choice.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Many users choose VPNs based solely on price rather than features. This can lead to poor performance and inadequate security.

Another mistake is ignoring privacy policies. Always ensure the provider has a strict no-logs policy to protect your data.

Future of VPN Technology

VPN technology is evolving with advancements such as:

  • AI-based threat detection
  • Improved encryption methods
  • Faster protocols like WireGuard

These innovations are making VPNs more efficient and secure.

FAQ

Is a VPN legal?
Yes, VPNs are legal in most countries.

Can a VPN slow down my internet?
Some slowdown is possible, but premium services minimize this.

The Rise of Remote Work: How Digital Jobs Are Reshaping the Future of Employment

Remote work has transformed from a temporary trend into a permanent part of the global economy. Millions of employees across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and Zimbabwe are now working from home or operating fully online businesses. Advances in internet technology, cloud computing, video conferencing platforms, and digital collaboration tools have made it possible for companies to operate efficiently without traditional office spaces.

Before the global shift toward remote work, many businesses believed employees needed to be physically present in offices to remain productive. However, companies quickly discovered that remote teams could often perform just as effectively while reducing operational expenses. Businesses are now saving money on office rent, utilities, transportation allowances, and infrastructure costs. Employees also benefit from flexible schedules, reduced commuting stress, and improved work-life balance.

The technology industry has been one of the biggest drivers of remote employment growth. Software developers, cybersecurity analysts, digital marketers, virtual assistants, content creators, and customer support professionals are among the many workers thriving in online environments. Freelancing platforms and remote job marketplaces are connecting companies with skilled workers from around the world, creating opportunities for talented individuals regardless of location.

In Africa, remote work is creating new economic opportunities for young professionals. Many entrepreneurs and freelancers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa are working with international clients while earning income in foreign currencies. This shift is helping reduce unemployment challenges while supporting digital entrepreneurship and online education initiatives.

Despite its advantages, remote work also presents challenges. Employees sometimes struggle with isolation, distractions at home, and difficulties separating work life from personal life. Businesses must also address cybersecurity risks, communication barriers, and employee engagement concerns. Many organizations are now adopting hybrid work models that combine office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Experts believe remote work will continue growing as internet access improves and digital transformation expands globally. Businesses that adapt successfully to flexible work environments are expected to remain competitive in the modern economy. Workers with digital skills, strong communication abilities, and experience using online collaboration tools are likely to remain in high demand for years to come.
