SOSHANGUVE, GAUTENG – A heartbreaking case has shaken the community of Block V Extension after the remains of 18-year-old Mmathapelo Lefa Msibi were discovered in a shallow grave behind her family home.
Mmathapelo was reported missing on 4 April 2026, leaving family and neighbors searching for answers. Over the weekend, those fears turned into tragedy when her body was found buried at the back of the residence.
Police have confirmed that a man believed to be her stepfather has been taken into custody in connection with the murder. Investigations are still ongoing as authorities work to uncover what led to this devastating crime.
The young woman leaves behind a 4-year-old child, adding to the pain felt by the community and raising urgent concerns about safety and justice.
