UK based Zimbabwean Nothando Ndlovu and her co-accused Nokuthula Sibanda appeared in court again and were further remanded to 28 December 2024. The 2 are charged with fraud having scammed Job Seekers of over US$47,000 for COS scheme. This Wednesday Nokuthula Sibanda (63), who is out on US$100 bail and Nothando Ndlovu (48) in prison garb appeared in court where they were slapped with further 9 more cases of fraud.
The court heard that more victims are coming forward to report their cases to the police which forced the court to postpone the trial to allow the police to investigate the cases being reported. Nothando is detained at Mlondolozi remand prison having been denied bail in her first court appearance as the court felt she was a flight risk since she lives in UK. Nothando was arrested in Bulawayo a few hours after arriving from UK for holidays with her children and locally based Nokuthula was also arrested on the same day and both have been charged with a series of fraudulent job placement scams that took place between December 2022 and November 2024 in Bulawayo
