Please do not reveal my identity. I am a very concerned O-Level Geography teacher. Our learners are failing not because they are incapable, but because of poorly set and invalid examination questions that still expect correct answers.
The item writers and examiners, together with ZIMSEC, fail to properly scrutinize these questions. With the approval of the subject manager, this lack of quality control is seriously affecting learner performance.
The November 2025 examination had poorly crafted questions. For example, a hydro-electric power diagram was used in a question about a steel plant, which was confusing and misleading.Questions are not related to the diagram...a wrong picture will not affect answers...But teachers are the ones who set these exams, I think the ones who sent the final paper to be printed have errors on it.
