MDC Divided Over Dialog With Zanu-PF

FRESH divisions have emerged in the opposition MDC as its bigwigs are not happy with the idea of the party engaging in a national dialogue with the ruling Zanu PF. Rising inflation and a general spike in the cost of living has piled pressure on the country’s political protagonists to find a lasting solution to the floundering economy. Members of the clergy and civic organisations want President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Nelson Chamisa to engage in a dialogue aimed at defeating the current socio- economic crisis. But some senior MDC members, led by the party’s co-vice president Tendai Biti, are against the idea of engaging President Mnangagwa in a dialogue, because the ruling party’s policies will lead to its natural death. Zanu PF Will Win 2023 By Land Slide Says UK Think Tank

THE Economist Intelligence Union, a member of The Economist Group has released a 2023 election forecast predicting a crushing landslide win for the ruling party ZANU PF, insisting that the opposition MDC led by Nelson Chamisa was weak and lacked political capacity to hold Government to account. The EUI which has over 60 years in intelligence gathering and reporting on countries also projected that the Zimbabwean dollar will be Z$7.1 : USD$1 in 2024. ZANU PF Politiburo Emergency Meeting Called

ZANU PF Politiburo members have been summoned to the ZANU PF headquarters for an emergency meeting to held to be held on Wednesday. Members were told to be seated by 1130 AM. There has been speculations on the agenda of the meeting which was not readily made available to the public and the media. ZANU PF sources have speculated that the meeting will discuss the recently held DCC meetings which turned chaotic in Harare with allegations that Saviour Kasukuwere's supporters were popular with the electorate.

The passing of General Chiwenga has brought shock waves in both Zanu PF & MDC. Which has lead to panic and strategy planning between both parties. The delay on the announcement of the generals passing a giving time for Zanu PF leader for have a plan to move forward. Breaking news has just been recieved that General Constantino Chiwenga has passed away in China. News we have recieved is that the General passed away at 4am October 15th at his Chinese hospital. Official announcement of his death wont be announced today but in the next few days. Zimbabwe Doctors Refuse To Obey Court Order To Return To Work

HARARE, Zimbabwe – Government-employed doctors on Monday ignored a labor court ultimatum to return to work, saying they remain incapacitated by poor wages and inadequate health facilities. Justices Lawrence Murasi and Rodgers Manyangadze on Friday ordered doctors to report for duty within 48 hours. They declared the strike illegal and referred the dispute between the doctors and the government to arbitration within 14 days. Junior doctors have not reported for duty since Sept. 3, saying they no longer can support themselves on salaries of less than $200 a month as Zimbabwe’s economic crisis drags on. Zimbabwe Police Raid MDC Offices

Police on Monday raided the headquarters of the Movement for Democratic Change led by Nelson Chamisa in the capital, Harare, following the discovery of helmets of uniformed forces in a nearby building. The police also searched all vehicles making their way into the city’s central business district amid serious security concerns by local people and arrested some MDC activists in connection with the helmets. Luke Tamborinyoka, head of the MDC communications department, said they were forced to shut down all operations as police “camped” at the party headquarters “without any apparent reason”.
