ZRP Destroys Banned Skin Lightening Creams in Ongoing Crackdown The Zimbabwe Republic Police has destroyed 30 kilograms of banned skin lightening creams, as part of a continued effort to rid communities of harmful and illegal cosmetic products. These creams — many of which contain dangerous substances like hydroquinone, mercury, and steroids — were confiscated during raids and arrests targeting individuals selling these illegal substances. Following successful prosecutions, the courts issued disposal orders, leading to the destruction of the seized products on 31st July 2025.

Tragedy struck early this morning along Chiremba Road in Harare, where a motorbike courier rider working for Kayz Courier Services was fatally hit by a vehicle. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the man, who was traveling along the busy road on his motorbike, was struck by a silver Toyota Passo. The impact of the collision was severe, and the courier was killed instantly Emergency services arrived swiftly, but the rider had already succumbed to his injuries. On Sunday, 27 July 2025, ZRP in Featherstone were on patrol when they stopped a Honda Fit with registration number AFM 1125 at Munyati Bridge. They arrested the driver, Samuel Gwama (42), for suspected stock theft. Inside the car, police found nine 50kg sacks filled with fresh meat wrapped in plastic.
